Jennifer L. Jonak is the founder and principal of Jonak Law Group, P.C. She has been practicing since 1997, and has been a member of the American Bar Association Tax and Commercial Litigation Divisions, Oregon Women Lawyer’s Association, Oregon Minority Lawyer’s Association, Lane County Bar Association, Lane County Women Lawyers, and Oregon Asian Pacific American Bar Association.

 

She graduated from the University of Virginia School of Law and obtained her undergraduate degree with high honors from the University of Virginia. She specializes in general commercial and complex civil litigation, including intellectual property, financial fraud, securities and real estate litigation.

Ms. Jonak argued before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals on behalf of a client facing a complete dismissal and summary judgment against him.  The appeal was against a multi-billion dollar European bank.  The Ninth Circuit reversed on all grounds in a unanimous decision, reinstating all of the client's claims under the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (RICO) and California's Unfair Competition Law.  The bank subsequently settled.
